Ducks and coots are easy to spot in the Netherlands. According to the New Scientist magazine, an experiment called LaughLab
revealed that ducks are world's funniest animals.
Windmills are an integral part of the Dutch landscape (and townscape). Their long sails make it possible for them to operate
even in weak wind. They are not only used for grinding though - but also for controlling water to protect Holland from floods.
